Hot Shot Challenge Hits St Greg's

18 December 2013

Children From St Gregory's School Take On The Challenge

Last Thursday 12th December, The Hot Shot Challenge went to The Catholic School of St Gregory The Great. Sido Jombati and Matt Richards were both on hand to offer skills advice and encouragement to all 120 of the pupils who took part.

In a great flurry of excitement, Year 5 went first, with top scores from Liam Hope (43mph) and Samuel Anson (37mph) in the boys team and Shannon Kelly (34mph) and Karen Muteze (37mph) winning it for the girls.

Year 6 were just as impressive, as the boys registered shots of 44mph from Jakub Kroliczak and Filip Ramian. The girls also impressed as Courtney Lusmore scored 41mph and Paris Duffus hit 32mph.

Each week the Hot Shot Challenge will be taken to a different primary school in the area, to find Cheltenham's fastest penalty shooter. The blow up goal has a radar which captures how fast the individual shot is and displays it for the child to see.
Next week we move to Severn View Academy in Stroud, and hope to find some more talent there!

The Hot Shot Challenge will run until the end of the season, when the individual winner will receive a complete Robins kit while the top school will be given a VIP match day experience at the Abbey Business Stadium.
