England youth international Ryan Inniss has signed on loan from Crystal Palace.
Young Crystal Palace defender Ryan Inniss has this morning joined the club on a one month youth loan.Ryan, 18, has played football for England at youth level and arrived at the training ground this morning to confirm his loan move to Cheltenham Town which will last an initial month. His arrival is set to add more competition to the defensive ranks and Mark Yates is pleased with his latest acquisition.Â
"He's a towering defender and will add good competition," said Mark.
"He's here for an initial month but he's a good player and we're pleased to have got him. He's tall, strong and has good ability on the ball. It's another good signing for us."
The young defender is a towering centre-back and has proved to be dominant force in the young England ranks over the last few seasons. One of the biggest moments of his young career so far was scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Scotland in the 2011 Victory Shield but he has now set his sights on gathering experience in the Football League with the Robins.
"I'm here to learn and I'm pleased to be at a great club like Cheltenham," said Ryan.
"I'm not expecting anything straight away but I'm here to work hard and hopefully I can make the impact here I want too.
Ryan has been handed squad number 15 and will be eligible to play in this weekend's League Two opener versus Burton Albion.
An interview with Ryan will be available on Robins Player shortly.
