Check out the best images from the weekend's 2-0 loss away at Chesterfield.
A first loss of the new season for Cheltenham Town as they fell to a 2-0 defeat away at Chesterfield's Proact Stadium.
The Spireites were impressive in truth and the Robins had to be on their guard in the early stages of the match with Gary Roberts running riot but Cheltenham had their own chances and were actually on top when Chesterfield snatched a goal through Roberts on 25 minutes. A slight deflection took the strike away from Scott Brown and the Robins found themselves in an all too familiar position at the Proact Stadium.
Cheltenham responded well and Byron Harrison saw a shot cleared off the line before both sides withdrew for half time. The Robins were much better in the second half and Harrison came close with a mazy run which would have been contender for goal of the season had the defender not got a boot onto the ball at the last second. Alas, as much as Cheltenham pushed, Chesterfield hit back in the 90th minute through Eoin Doyle and a major deflection once again took the ball away from the already diving Scott Brown.
