Cheltenham Town produced a professional performance to beat Exeter 1-0 this weekend and end the Grecians' play-off charge.

The Robins made a perfect start to proceedings when Jombati's freekick found it's way through to Russell Penn and the Cheltenham skipper lost his marker before slotting his shot into the bottom corner past Krysiak for 1-0.

Exeter responded well to going a goal down and they really should have found an equaliser through numerous efforts on goal from Jamie Cureton, Jamie Reid and Lawson D'Ath in the first period. Cheltenham were largely in control of the second half at St James' Park but they needed a wonderful save from Scott Brown to deny Jimmy Keohane's late effort.

A valuable three points for Cheltenham Town with the race for third place now heading into the final game of the league season.
