Mark Yates is expecting a reaction from his players this weekend.
Mark Yates speaking to the media ahead of this weekend's trip to Wycombe's Adams Park:"Of course we are looking for a response. I picked the wrong team and the wrong formation and matched up with Accrington but we got sucked into playing long ball and doing everything foreign to what we want to be. We gave some stupid defensive goals away and got well and truly beaten on the day. The players know that their performances were not good enough so we'll look forward to going there and showing what we can do.
"We humped the ball forward with no care and quality last week and we were hopeless. We didn't take enough responsiblity and we got beat so that has been what this week is all about. We know we weren't good enough so we need to go and make sure it is on Saturday.
"There is a temptation to make changes but we won't make knee-jerk reactions. I know my team is good enough and we'll pick a team for the right reasons. We may freshen it up in one or two areas. We trusted each other on and off the pitch last season and it is the same with this group of players and I won't drop people for the sake of it. Sometimes you need to change it and sometimes players need to be given another chance so I'll do what I see fit.
"We had a reserve game here on Tuesday and it was very beneficial. Everyone contributed to a decent performance and one or two certainly come into the reckoning. I wanted to get a reserve game into Darren Carter before I started him and he has that now so he is obviously in contention because he's a good player.
"Alan Bennett tweaked his calf in training on Monday so he won't be available but, apart from that, everyone is fit and available.
"We will head to Wycombe aiming to be as good as we can possibly be. They have some good players and a good manager so it will be a tough game."
