Yates: A Decent Point

22 September 2012

Mark Yates happy with a point and a clean sheet.

Mark Yates speaking to the media following this afternoon's 0-0 draw at York City:

"We worked extremely hard today and we probably had the better of the chances in a tight game. We weren't as good as we wanted to be but we were a million miles better than we defended last week.

"We're after clean sheets and I thought Benno was superb today. Browny hasn't had too many shots to save so well done to the defence because, against a good side, we have deserved a clean sheet. Jermaine (McGlashan) has had a quiet second half but the one time he has got in behind his man he has been able to get a good ball cross and Mo was unlucky with his shot.

"It has been a tough week but there has been some pleasing things coming out of the last few games. It was just one of those days where are passing wasn't as good as we would have wanted it to be and sometimes you must make sure that you don't get beaten.

"We love night games believe it or not because we like playing under the floodlights at the Abbey Business Stadium so hopefully we can have a good week and be ready for the game against Morecambe."
