Reserves Set For Action

3 September 2012

Cheltenham Town second string will take on Bailey Academy at Seasons training ground tomorrow (2pm).

A Cheltenham Town XI will take on Bailey Academy tomorrow afternoon in a reserve friendly (2pm).

The Bailey Elite Football Academy are based in Walthamstow and will offer tough opposition for the Robins tomorrow.

The match, which kicks off at 2pm, will give players who need game time the chance to impress Mark Yates ahead of the weekend's encounter v. Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park. This will be the first of many reserve friendly matches throughout the season in an effort to hand players necessary game time and match fitness. The Robins were involved in the reserve league last season but that division has since been scrapped due to a lack of teams and mounting financial costs.

Players such as Alan Bennett and Darren Carter will feature as they look to sharpen their match fitness ready for first team action.

Possible Cheltenham Town Starting XI: Roberts (GK); Lowe, Hibbert, Bennett (C), Andrew; Graham, Deering, Carter, Mohamed; Goulding, Duffy

Fans are welcome to watch the game tomorrow afternoon at Season training ground but we remind all supporters that catering and toilet facilities are no provided.
