The Robins defeated ten-man Morecambe on Friday night to record three points and a perfect start to the weekend.
Darren Carter opened the scoring after just 90 seconds with a wonderful half volley and the Robins held that lead until the break despite Morecambe pressure. A red card for Kevin Ellison in the second half handed the visitors another blow but Carter's injury time second confirmed all three points for a Cheltenham side not even playing to their best.
