Lawson D'Ath Onboard

Reading prospect Lawson D'Ath has signed a one month loan deal with the Robins.

Cheltenham Town have today confirmed the loan signing of young Reading midfielder Lawson D'Ath.

The 19 year-old has joined the Robins on a one month loan and will be available for this weekend's game at home to Exeter City here at the Abbey Business Stadium.

Lawson (@Lawsondath92) tweeted earlier: "Going on loan to Cheltenham for a month and hopefully longer.

"Can't wait I'm buzzing to get started, gonna be a great experience!"

Lawson is a product of the Reading academy and broke into their first team ranks in the early part of 2010/11 when named on the bench for a League Cup tie at Torquay.

An energetic midfielder, he was born in Oxford and was spotted by Academy scouts before signing on a full-time basis in the summer of 2009.

Lawson made his Reading debut in the FA Cup against Stevenage in January 2012, whilst his first taste of league football came with Yeovil Town, as he joined the Glovers on loan– scoring his first goal against Colchester United in just his second appearance.

Mark Yates has been chasing Lawson for a while and he believes the 19 year-old has what it takes to be a success.

"We're delighted to have brought Lawson to the club," said Mark.

"Reading ideally wanted him to go higher but I want to thank Reading for all their help. I have seen Lawson play for Yeovil and he has chipped in with goals there and I expect him to do well here too."

You can watch Lawson in action this weekend with his new team-mates when Exeter City come to town on Saturday (3pm).
