Cheltenham Town's designated 'Kick It Out' day will be at the weekend.
This week the Football League, along with the Premier League, will be supporting the 'Kick It Out' campaign. Our designated 'Kick It Out' day here at Cheltenham Town FC will be at the weekend when we play Exeter City here at the Abbey Business Stadium. The players will be wearing the campaign's shirts and will fully back the need to rid football of racism.
Mark Yates has always been a big supporter of the Kick It Out campaign and has called upon all players and managers to unite against one of football's greatest enemies.
"Kick It Out do a really good job," he said.
"I heard on the radio this morning that they have a budget of just under half a million pounds but they get the word across well. "I'm a bit disappointed that a number of senior high profile black players in the Premier League that haven't backed the Kick It Out campaign. There is no place for racism in football and I don't see it particulary in our country.
"One or two managers have expressed their opinions but I think we should all be backing it. Everyone does a decent job but there's still plenty of work to do and we will be backing it once again at the weekend."
