Luke Summerfield has joined League One side Shrewsbury Town.
Midfielder Luke Summerfield has today joined Shrewsbury Town after turning down a new contract at the Abbey Business Stadium.
Summerfield's contract was up this summer but Mark Yates did offer the hard working midfielder a new deal here at Cheltenham Town. Luke's contract expired and he was free to link up with the Shrews in League One.
Luke wrote on his Twitter: "I would like to thank Cheltenham Town for being part of a great season and thanks to the fans for your support. I will be watching this season."
The industrious midfielder joined the club in the summer of 2011 after impressing on trial and he went on to make 48 appearances scoring six goals during a memorable season. He made his debut against Gillingham on the opening day of the season and he scored is first goal against MK Dons in the League Cup first round.
