Ruby Tuesday will sponsor the club's new Fan's Favourite scheme
Cheltenham Town fans are to get the chance to vote for their very own man of the match at every home game in an exciting new scheme. The club is teaming up with the local restaurant Ruby Tuesday to introduce the Fans’ Favourite.
At every home game fans will be invited to text in their man of the match and when the winner is announced just before the whistle one lucky fan will win a free ÂŁ40 meal voucher for the Ruby Tuesday Restaurant in the Brewery.
The Ruby Tuesday Fans’ Favourite kicks off this Saturday against Port Vale at the Abbey Business Stadium as part of the club’s Family Fun Day. All you have to do at the game is text the word ROBINS followed by your chosen player's squad number (eg. 7) and your full name to 60070 by 4.40pm. Each message is charged at your standard message rate and this is obviously governed by your network.
“One guaranteed topic of discussion after every home game is who was the best? Who was the man of the match? Our match day sponsors get to choose their own man of the match which is great, but every fan has their own thoughts and opinion and now we can give them the opportunity to vote for who they think is the best on the day - Who their favourite is,” said the club’s commercial director Tim Russon.
“We’re delighted to have Ruby Tuesday on board as well. It’s a great name which fits in well with the club and we’re looking forward to a new partnership which can bring good things for the fans,” he added.
Ruby Tuesday are also offering generous discounts on meals for all season ticket holders and match-goers. Sales Manager Dominic Gambarini said: “We were delighted when the Robins approached us for the fans’ man of the match, the concept allows us to support the club and the local area.
"We look forward to welcoming guests soon to sample our great service, outstanding value for money and unique dining experience.”
Already established in Cardiff, Ruby Tuesday is named after the Rolling Stones song of the same name. It all started in 1972 with a Burger (now a classic) in Nashville, Tennessee USA. Now there are over 800 locations worldwide! The menu boasts specialities such as the 49 item Endless Fresh Garden Bar, Endless Fries with most entrée’s, cooked from scratch in-house Fork-Tender Ribs, a wide selection of fresh Seafood and Pasta dishes, plus Hand Crafted Lemonades & Signature Cocktails.
The Cheltenham restaurant which opened in the brewery in June was the first Ruby Tuesday to open in England.
