FA Cup: Your Questions Answered

2 December 2012

All the answers you need ahead of the FA Cup 2nd round and a potential clash with Everton.

Answers to some of the questions we have already received regarding FA Cup tickets. More will be added if and when we receive further queries.

Why are tickets for the Hereford game not available online or over the phone?
Hereford United have sold out of their 1,300 allocation. We are therefore required to take steps to prevent away fans buying tickets in the home areas. The ticket office will be open until 2pm on Monday for the sale of tickets to supporters with local addresses. Spot checks may be in operation so please bring along proof of address (such as a utility bill) just in case.

How many tickets have been sold for the Hereford game so far?
We have sold around 1,700 and Hereford 1,300. There are therefore plenty of tickets left, particularly in the standing areas. Tickets will be available at the turnstiles on the night of the game. However, any visiting supporters in the home areas will be in breach of ground regulations and liable to ejection with no refund.

What is happening about ticket priority for the FA Cup third round?
We have to beat Hereford first. We must also consider the possibility that the Hereford game may go to a replay on December 11 so any announcements would be further delayed. In the event of Cheltenham Town reaching the third round a full announcement will be made as soon as possible with regard to ticket priority. The only provision so far is that supporters who purchased tickets for the home matches against Barnet AND Hereford United will gain priority after season ticket holders and alongside Trust members, fan members etc. However, the attendance for the Barnet game was well below 3,000 so plenty of capacity would still be available. Please note that tickets must be purchased on a 'like-for-like' basis (i.e. it will not be possible to produce Under-16s tickets from the Barnet and Hereford games in order to purchase a full adult one for the Cup).

If we beat Hereford will a ticket for the Hereford game automatically guarantee me a ticket for the third round?
A ticket allocation policy will be announced following a victory. We have already advised that supporters with Barnet and Hereford stubs will be involved in any possible priority system but we would ask all supporters keep hold of ticket stubs for when we announce priority for a possible third round tie.

What will the ticket prices be for the third round and when will the match take place?
Let's try and beat Hereford first!
