A young Robins side drew level with Bishop's Cleeve yesterday evening.
A young Cheltenham Town side, with a few first teamers, drew level with neighbours Bishop's Cleeve on Tuesday night.
The match was the final pre-season friendly for the Robins and Russell Milton named a side with plenty of youth team prospects although Connor Roberts and Danny Andrew were getting some game time too. Cheltenham started well and applied immediate pressure on the Villages but it was the hosts that stole the opening goal with Matt Rose stooping low to head past Roberts in goal. Cheltenham were knocked off balance but not for long as Ed Williams struck a sweet 20 yarder to pull his side level. Joe Hanks, Jordan Hbbert and Danny Andrew all came close to grabbing winning goals in this fixture but the final result stuck at 1-1.
