Harry Hooman 'surprised' by player of the month honour.
Harry Hooman has been named as the club's player of the month for August by supporters.
Cheltenham Town fans have been voting in their droves over the last few days via email and social media and have named the 21 year-old defender as their player of the month. In what proved to be a tight vote, Harry beat off competition from both Shaun Harrad and Jermaine McGlashan who finished second and third respectively.
"It's a bit surprising but pleasing," beamed Harry.
"The team performances have been brilliant, we've had a good start and the results have been good too. It's great to be noticed and hopefully the fans can continue to get behind us. We'll be looking to get another three points this weekend and carry on from where we left off."
Harry has started every one of the four competitive games so far this season and has helped his side record two clean sheets against both Dagenham & Redbridge and Aldershot Town. The young defender also provided an assist to Shaun Harrad's opener in the 2-2 draw at Torquay and has rightly been recognised for his string of strong performances over the last few weeks.
