The Robins drew 2-2 with Charlton Athletic on the final day of the Sky Bet League One season.

A late goal from Alfie May as well as a second-half-strike from Aidan Keena secured the point for the Robins, which confirmed they would finish 16th in the table.

Cheltenham started the game well, with Ryan Jackson winning a corner that was played in by Liam Sercombe before being cleared by Charlton.

Charlton did take the lead through Scott Fraser who tapped in from close range ten minutes before half-time.

The Robins would bring the game level just after time, May went for goal which was saved by Ashley Maynard-Brewer but turned in by Keena from close range.

Cheltenham kept the pressure up, May found himself in space in the Charlton half before playing through Will Ferry whose long-range effort went wide of the post.

Not willing to accept a draw, May drilled a ball across the six-yard box that was flicked goal-wards by Ryan Broom but went just wide of the post.

Ferry whipped a brilliant ball toward the back post, May met it on the volley but sent the ball over the bar.

Despite the pressure from the Robins, Jack Payne capitalized on a loose ball to give the visitors the lead.

A superb left-footed effort from May put the Robins level just before full-time earning a well-deserved point for Cheltenham.

Cheltenham Town take on Charlton Athletic in our final match of the Sky Bet League One 2022/23 season this Sunday at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium (midday KO).

The Robins overcame Wycombe Wanderers last weekend to take them to 16th in the League One table, three points off last season's tally and with an opportunity to finish as high as 14th.

It will be another tough match on Sunday, with former Premier League outfit Charlton winning three of their last five matches.

Tickets are still available for this weekend's fixture, and are cheaper when purchased in advance. You can do so online here or from the ticket office. Prices vary with adult tickets ranging from £18-£26, students and over-65s between £13-£18, and £7-£10 for under-18s.

If you are buying tickets in person, you can use cash or card from the sales point in the main car park.

Fans should arrive early to avoid queues, and any ticket changes should be made a day in advance due to the time it takes to alter tickets.

Sunday's game is our nearest to the key date of May 17 when Steve Cotterill's side collected the club's first major honour under the twin towers to kickstart our modern story a quarter of a century ago.

The likes of Jason Eaton, Lee 'Archie' Howells, Keith Knight, Darren Wright and Mark Crisp will be on hand to mark the occasion and will also make an appearance on the pitch at half-time.

During the players' warm-up, we will reveal the winners of our annual end of season awards. You can still vote for your April Player and Goal of the Month winners, as well as your Goal of the Season pick too.

We’re asking supporters to roll back the years and squeeze into their favourite retro shirts for the afternoon. Show your colours and parade the good, bad and the ugly of the club’s back catalogue inside the ground. There will also be a suitably '90s Selco playlist and a souvenir programme.

It is expected to be a busy matchday, with the gates opening from 10:30AM due to the early kick-off (midday). A reminder that the food pods in and around the ground accept card payments only.

There will be no car parking available for the match, unless you have a car parking season pass.

We have a information hut at the ground which is run by our supporter liason and disability assistance team. It's located in the car park on the right hand side as you enter, between the ticket collection booth and “Hungry Robins” outlet. The hut bears the logos of the Community Trust, Robins Trust, and Proud Robins, reflecting that we are all working together to support the club, represent fans and celebrate inclusion and diversity.

We aim to man the hut from around 10AM until just before kick-off on matchdays, and support with any disability assistance, provide access to free DAB radios, ear defenders and sensory packs, as well as taking bookings for our halftime cross bar challenge.

A new set of actions will be implemented across all English football leagues for the 2022/23 season and will be backed by the Football Supporters’ Association. They will target activity such as entering the pitch without permission, carrying or using smoke bombs or pyrotechnics and throwing objects - as well as drug use and discriminatory behaviour.
