21-year-old midfielder Jack Munns signed for Cheltenham Town in May 2015, after impressing boss Gary Johnson in a trial match. He had previously trained with the Robins earlier in the year.
Though diminutive in stature, the Dagenham-born playmaker certainly doesn’t lack pedigree, having progressed through the youth ranks at Tottenham Hotspur, featuring regularly at Under-21 level.
After a short loan stint with Aldershot Town, Munns moved south of the River Thames, signing professional terms with Charlton Athletic. He featured regularly for Jason Euell’s academy side alongside Cheltenham loan goalkeeper Dillon Phillips, and attracted critical acclaim for his set-piece prowess.
Despite being handed a squad number at The Valley, Munns failed to break into the Addicks’ first team, signing a one-year deal at the World of Smile Stadium following the expiration of his contract.
