Cheltenham Town completed the signing of former Sporting Clube de Portugal youth player Sido Jombati on Tuesday 5 July 2011.
Sido was born in Lisbon and played for Sporting Clube de Portugal as a youngster but has played for clubs such as Basingstoke, Weymouth and Bath City since his arrival to the English game. The 23 year-old had been with Bath for two years and played a major role in helping them win promotion to the BlueSquare Premier. He became a much loved figure at Twerton Park and picked up the club's Player of the Year award last season before stepping up to the Football League with the Robins. Jombati is a versatile player and has pretty much played in every single position except in goal during his short career. Sido recently signed a two year extension to his contract seeing him through until 2014.
