Epsom-born forward Billy Waters signed a one-year deal with Cheltenham Town in June 2015, following his release from SkyBet League One outfit Crewe Alexandra.
The 20-year-old progressed through Dario Gradi’s famous Academy system at Gresty Road, before making his debut against Carlisle United in November 2013.
The 5’9” attacker appeared both up-front and on the wing for Alexandra, as he made a total 20 appearances, scoring his first professional goal in a Capital One Cup victory over Barnsley.
He netted a stunning strike against the same side just four days later, narrowly missing out on Crewe’s goal of the season award, and has twice been named on the Welsh Under-21 standby list.
Waters has been handed squad number eight by Gary Johnson for the Robins’ inaugural Vanarama National League campaign.
