Josh Emery is a Scholarship player with Cheltenham Town having first joined the club's Centre of Excellence at the age of 13.
A native of Ledbury in Herefordshire, Josh represented Herefordshire Schools at both football and cricket before breaking into the Cheltenham Town Under-18 side at the end of the 2006-07 season.
A busy central midfielder and tidy passer of the ball, Josh put in some good performances for the first team squad during the 2008 pre-season campaign and scored a spectacular goal in a pre-season friendly against Cirencester Town. He signed Scholarship forms with the Robins in August 2008.
Josh made his first team debut for the Robins at Southend United, during the final match of the 2008/09 League One campaign, when he was introduced into the game as a substitute.
