Ben is a versatile young player who signed for Cheltenham Town in May 2007. He began his career as a junior with Arsenal but later moved to Watford, where he became a regular member of the youth and reserve teams. He spent time on loan with Cambridge United in the Conference and made three first team appearance for the Hornets, all of them as a substitute.
Ben came to the attention of the Cheltenham Town management while playing for the Watford second team and when he was released at the end of season 2006-2007, Robins manager John Ward moved quickly to make him his first signing of the summer.
A central midfielder who has also played in the centre of defence, Ben made an immediate impression at Cheltenham Town with some positive performances in the club's 2007 pre-season friendlies.
During the 2007-08 campaign as the team battled for League One survival Ben's first team appearances were severley restricted. He will be looking to stake a claim in the first team squad when the Robins take on their League One rivals for a third consecutive term.
