The Robins were defeated here at Underhill this afternoon after Barnet took control in the second half and claimed their first win of the season.

It all started well for Cheltenham who went ahead through a Frankie Artus freekick in the second minute but Barnet hit back soon after through Phil Walsh and the big man was on target again in the second half. Barnet's man of the match Mark Marshall scored the third to cap an impressive performance.

The Robins weren't their usual flowing selves and will now look to next weekend against Stevenage at the Abbey Business Stadium.

2 GOAL: Frankie Artus smashes in a piledriver from a 25 yard freekick. It was Thomas that won the freekick when Dennehy unfairly challenged him in the air.

5: Good attack from Barnet saw Kabba outpace Lowe on their right wing and deliver a tidy low cross to Marshall but Josh Low made an important block.

8: Almost an own goal from Smikle who attempted to clear the corner at the front post but mis-timed completely. Brown was quick to react and gather up the ball.

10: Plenty of Barnet attacks going down their left wing at the moment and a number of dangerous crosses as well but the Robins are standing firm.

12 GOAL: Phil Walsh equalises for Barnet. It was another attack from Marshall down the left and a far post cross which the striker dived in to header well. Barnet looking very dangerous on the wings.

14: Josh Low has been moved to right back and Bird into the midfield.

15: Superb cross from Danny Andrew found the head of Wesley Thomas but it was a tame effort for Jake Cole to gather.

19 SUBSTITUTION: Jordan Parkes replaced the injured Darren Dennehy.

27: Marshall is the bright spark for Barnet at the moment. A decent replacement for the recently departed Albert Adomah? He has pace, trickery and likes to run at defenders.

30: Excellent intervention from Pook which denied Holmes an effort on goal following a decent run into the area.

32: Great build-up from Cheltenham and a much better passing flow. The ball was eventually played out to Low who threaded a neat through ball to Thomas. The striker twisted and turned to fire in a shot but Cole saved low at his near post.

33 SUBSTITUTION: Frankie Artus was replaced by Marlon Pack. The Portsmouth loanee makes his debut. It looked as though Artus has picked up a knock.

38: Decent enough freekick from Marshall on the edge of the area but Brown was comfortable gathering the ball up.

41: Goulding hit a shot first time from a corner but it took a deflection and slipped wide.

45+2: Great freekick from Pook who whipped in the shot from 25 yards and forced Cole into making a good save over the bar and handing Cheltenham a corner.

Half Time: Barnet 1-1 Robins

46: Barnet winger Ricky Holmes missed a backpost header following a good cross from Parkes. Andrew did just enough to put him off.

49: Should have been 2-1 Barnet. Holmes took the ball down well on the right wing and whipped in a scintillating cross but the incoming Walsh missed the opportunity completely and the Robins breathe a sigh of relief.

50: Jake Cole came out of his area to clear the ball only for it to fall to Marlon Pack but the young midfielder's effort was rushed and flew high over the bar.

52: Superb ball over the top and down the left wing from Marlon Pack. Thomas was quickly in on goal but his shot was wide of the near post.

53 BOOKING: Danny Andrew was booked for a late challenge on Holmes.

56 BOOKING: Mark Byrne was yellow carded for a late challenge on Smikle.

57: Keith Lowe gave the ball away in a dangerous area and allowed Walsh to fire in a 20 yard strike which just evaded Brown's far post. Sloppy from the Robins defence.

65 GOAL: Phil Walsh makes it 2-1 Barnet with a tap in at the back post. The corner was whipped in and the big striker couldn't miss.

69: Parkes fired in a decent drive across goal but it didn't trouble Scott Brown's goalmouth.

71 DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION: JJ Melligan replaced by Dave Bird and Shaun Jeffers replaced Jeff Goulding.

74 BOOKING: Jeffers collided with Uddin and was treated for a foot injury. He was yellow carded needlessly by the referee. Third booking of the season for the young striker.

80 GOAL: Barnet make it 3-1 through their danger man Marshall. The pacy number 20 found himself through from a long ball and despite a fair challenge from Brown, the ball bounced well for Barnet and he was able to slot it home past Josh Low on the line.

81: Holmes could have made it 4-1 as Barnet broke again but Brown made a good low save to deny the winger.

82: Jeffers fired a header in at goal but it was comfortable for Cole.

84 SUBSTITUTION: Danny Kelly replaced the goal scoring Phil Walsh.

87: Daniel Leach fired in a header at goal but Brown produced an outstanding save to deny Barnet another. He dived down low and got a strong hand behind it much like his save last weekend.

90: Great trickery from Shaun Jeffers who danced his way into the box only to see his cross blocked by a Barnet head. Moments later Keith Lowe saw a well taken volley flash wide of the post.

90+2: Cheltenham are pushing and pushing but to no avail.

90+4: Southam fired a thunderous drive over the bar from 25 yards.

Robins Star Man: Scott Brown - The goalkeeper couldn't do to much about the goals made some good saves to deny Barnet a bigger lead.
