 5 - 1

Cheltenham Town finally ended their eleven game winless run by outclassing Barnet here at the Abbey Business Stadium tonight. The 5-1 scoreline was well deserved for the dominant Robins who had actually conceded first.

However an Andy Gallinagh, Justin Richards, a brace from Ben Marshall and a Yakubu own goal provided the Robins with a valuable three points and there is no doubt that John Schofield will have a smile on his face in the morning.

The Robins chose to revert back to a 4-4-2 formation for this clash with Barnet tonight. There was just one change to the starting line-up with Barry Hayles replacing Michael Pook. Josh Low, Kyle Haynes and Andy Gallinagh all continued their defensive duties whilst Townsend and Ridley sit out with impact injuries.

4: Both teams started off evenly but had to get used to the high wind around the ground. Not a game for the long ball tactic.

7: John O'Flynn had the first chance for Barnet following a sloppy missed header by Drissa Diallo. His left footed drive failed to make it past Scott Brown, however.

12 GOAL: Barnet winger Albert Jarrett loops in a good looking cross into the centre of Cheltenham's area and John O'Flynn pulls off a diving header to put the Bees one up.

14: Ismail Yakubu was forced to temporarily retreat from the pitch in order to retrieve attention to a head injury picked up a few seconds earlier.

20 BOOKING: Ben Marshall stretches his legs for the first time but is hacked down by Daniel Leach who recieves a yellow card for his efforts.

21 GOAL: Captain Dave Bird sends in a dangerous in-swinging freekick which is headered into the back of the net by Andy Gallinagh. That was Gallinagh's second goal for the Robins.

22: Cheltenham aren't giving up. This time some clever midfield play unleashed Justin Richards down the left but, despite some good footwork, his effort hits the side netting.

27: Play was stopped after Barnet's Ahmed Deen went down injured following a collision with Barry Hayles. However Deen gets back up to his unscathed.

34: Yannick Bolasie finds himself one on one with Scott Brown following a lucky bounce but the Robins keeper pulls off a fantastic low save to deny Barnet a second of the match.

36 BOOKING: Kenny Gillet is booked for illegally blocking Barry Hayles whilst the veteran had his running boots on.

37 GOAL: The ball is sent into the box from the freekick and it's cleared out following a small scramble. However the ball is sent back in deep where Justin Richards pulled off a superb bicycle kick to send it back towards goal. Ben Marshall was free in the area and he comfortably nodded the ball into the back of the net to record his first goal for the club on his home debut.

40: Kenny Gillet's in trouble again following a late challenge on Kyle Haynes. The Barnet left back is skating on thin ice with Mr. East tonight.

43: Ahmed Deen tries a left foot volley following a Barnet corner but his effort finishes high, wide and over the C&G stand.

45+2 BOOKING: Mark Hughes is booked by the referee for a rash and late challenge on young Kyle Haynes.

45+2: Some lovely individual work by Barry Hayles almost created an opening but his low cross into the box is gathered up by Jake Cole.

Half Time: Robins 2-1 Barnet

46 SUBSTITUTE: Barnet make their first change. Albert Adomah replaces Yannick Bolasie at half time.

46: Justin Richards strikes a superb shot but Jake Cole pulls off an impressive save to deny the Robins striker.

53: Ben Marshall is denied a penalty again. The 18-year-old Stoke loanee took advantage of a bad touch by Gillet and was through on goal. Gillett caught up with the winger and his challenege brought Marshall down. The referee pointed for a goal kick.

54 GOAL: Richards grabs Cheltenham's third with a volley. Ben Marshall assisted the goal with a lovely cross from the right hand side. That is Richard's sixth goal of the season.

56: Scott Brown almost pulled off a memorable moment when his goal kick was caught by the wind but unfortunately it bounced over the cross bar.

57: Paul Furlong unleashes a shot from outside the box but Scott Brown is equal to the Barnet attack once again.

59: A deep cross from the left courtesy of Albert Jarrett almost met the diving head of Paul Furlong but the 41-year-old narrowly missed and the Robins breathe easy again.

62: Chance for the Robins. Kyle Haynes brought down a Barnet clearance and knocked it to his left for Drissa Diallo. Diallo sent in a long ball over the top which fell to the feet of Justin Richards. The former Kidderminster striker turned and struck but his effort dragged wide of the far post.

64 SUBSTITUTION: Ian Hendon replaces veteran Paul Furlong with Jake Hyde in an effort to change Barnet's fortunes.

65: The Bees are trying to step the pace of the game up. O'Flynn tries an ambitious shot but it goes straight into the back of the Carlsberg stand.

67 BOOKING: Barry Hayles is yellow carded for an ugly looking challenge on Daniel Leach.

69: Barnet are resorting to a few long shots now. O'Flynn tried a long range attempt again but it's smothered well by Scott Brown.

73: Gillet lobs the ball over the top of the Cheltenham defence which is met by the head of Jake Hyde. However his effort is poor and it soon dribbles into Scott Brown's arms.

78 SUBSTITUTION: Kenny Gillet's torrid night is at an end after being replaced by Kofi Lockhart-Adams.

83: Another deep cross from Barnet's left wing is headered out of danger by Andy Gallinagh. The tenacious defender has been solid tonight.

86 GOAL: Ben Marshall scores his second of the night and Cheltenham's fourth. The young winger intercepted the ball following a mistake by Leach and neatly slotted the ball home past the helpless Jake Cole.

88 GOAL: Justin Richards picks up the ball on the right wing and makes a bee line for the Barnet goal. He fires a shot in and Ismail Yakubu's attempted interception goes horribly wrong as it trickles into the back of the net and is deemed an own goal, although Richards will no doubt claim it.

90 SUBSTITUTION: Marley Watkins makes his way on to replace the highly impressive Ben Marshall.

90+3: The final whistle blows and the Robins end their eleven game winless run. A superb display by Cheltenham Town.
