Cheltenham Town continue their search for a home win following tonight's 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion but there were positive signs from the Robins in their second half performance.
Robins boss Mark Yates made just one change to the side that picked up a valuable point from Bournemouth at the weekend with Julian Alsop replacing Jake Lee on the bench. Shane Duff (achilles), Ashley Eastham (personal bereavement) and Matt Thornhill (hamstring) were the absentees for the Robins tonight.
As it stands Mark Yates has yet to pick up any points at home but will now look to continue his squad's impressive away form at Barnet on Saturday.
5: Steady start from both teams who both created an attack each but neither made an impact.
7 GOAL: Burton took the lead through a superb Harrad strike outside of the box. There was some sloppy defending going on amongst the Robins and Maghoma was able to set up Harrad for the opener.
9: Cheltenham went on their first real attack but a final bursting run through the box from Josh Low failed to make an impact.
10: Scott Brown pulled off an impressive save to deny Burton a second. Taylor had played a clever passing move with Harrad but couldn't beat Brown.
15: A burst of pace through the middle by Justin Richards woke the Burton defence up. Richards laid the ball back off to Josh Low but his 20 yard strike flew wide of the far post.
24: Cheltenham went on the attack following an interception by Josh Low. The ball reaches Marley Watkins 25 yards out but the youngster's improvised shot failed to hit the target.
25: Another attack from Cheltenham but it again fails to beat Krysiak. Labadie found himself with the ball outside of the area and, following a nice side-step, he fired a shot straight to the goalkeepers arms.
27: Steve Kabba sped past Dave Bird to create an opening with a low cross but another Josh Low interception killed the attack.
35: A good attack from Cheltenham supplied their best opportunity of the night. Some good technical play from Low led to Labadie snapping at shot within the box however his effort went high over the bar.
39: John McGrath's corner fell to the head of Webster but his effort crept over the crossbar.
Half Time: Robins 0-1 Burton Albion
47: Russell Penn struck the ball from 20 yards out but Brown saved low to deny Burton a second. Moments before there were angry calls from the Cheltenham fans after a Burton attack had looked offside but play continued with the assistant referee seemingly behind the play.
53: Some bright play from Marley Watkins set up a Cheltenham attack but Bird couldn't cross in time and it was deemed a goal kick.
55 BOOKING: Michael Pook dived into a tackle with Kabba rather rashly and recieved the first yellow card of the night although Kabba's reaction deserved an oscar.
61: DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION: All change up front with Julian Alsop replacing Elvis Hammond and Hayles coming on for Justin Richards.
62: BOOKING: Danny Andrew picked up a suspect yellow for a challenge on Penn.
68: SUBSTITUTION: David Hutton joined the game at the expense of Marley Watkins.
69: Barry Hayles added some edge to the Cheltenham attack. His clever run in the box was unfortunately cut out but the Robins started to look more dangerous in attack.
72 SUBSTITUTION: Burton made their first change with Jimmy Phillips replacing Cleveland Taylor.
73: A superb sliding challenge from Townsend denied Maghoma an attempt on Scott Brown's goalmouth.
76 SUBSTITUTION: Greg Pearson enters the pitch for Albion in exchange for Shaun Harrad.
77: Joss Labadie tried another powerful strike but the shot was deflected off Alsop and straight into Krysiak's arms.
80 BOOKING: Jimmy Phillips is booked for a deliberate pull back on Josh Low.
81: Townsend gave the ball away with a faltered pass and Burton pressed on to win a corner but the sturdier Cheltenham defence saw the ball out.
83: Big miss for Cheltenham. Alsop flicked on a long ball from Townsend and a bad mistake from Tony James left Barry Hayles one on one with Krysiak however the veteran dragged his volley wide of the far post.
85 BOOKING: Labadie was booked for dissent.
88: Alsop flicked a header onto Josh Low who, in turn, threaded the ball through to Hayles but the effort was smothered by Krysiak.
90 SENDING OFF: Danny Andrew is sent to the changing rooms with a second yellow card following a needless lunge at Kabba
90 DOUBLE BOOKING: Following the sending off there was a clash between the two teams with Barry Hayles and Tom Parkes both booked for their part in the shambolic confrontation.
90+2: Labadie tries an ambitious strike much like Harrad's effort in the first half but Krysiak calmly collected the ball.
90+3 BOOKING: Steve Kabba is booked for a deliberate tug on Andy Gallinagh during his own team's attack.
