Cheltenham Town staged a second half comeback to earn a 2-2 draw at Vetch Field against Swansea City.
It was another patchy performance from the Robins, who scratched their way back from a 2-0 half-time deficit, but the result will prove a major psychological boost in what is proving a difficult opening to the season.
The Cheltenham team, who wore their new orange away kit for the first time, featured two changes to the line-up against Mansfield.
Neil Howarth replaced Martin Devaney with Saturday's two-goal hero and former Swans player Julian Alsop going into the team in place of Neil Grayson. Duff reverted to the right-hand side of midfield with Howarth at right-back.
The Robins had the game's first chance of note in the eighth minute when Duff crossed from the right, Tony Naylor provided the flick-on and Howarth reached it the same time as goalkeeper Roger Freestone but the ball drifted wide of goal.
Three minutes later Stuart Roberts latched onto a ball over the top and Carl Muggleton pushed it aside for a corner, but disaster struck from the resulting flag kick.
Muggleton failed to gather the ball, Chris Banks' clearance hit a cluster of bodies and sat up for Kristian O'Leary. His shot was blocked but the rebound fell for Roberts to score into an empty net.
Alsop went off injured after a clash of heads in the 15th minute to be replaced by Grayson, and the substitute almost scored straight away when he forced his way into the area and held off a challenge from Chris Todd but shot high. Grayson then got free in the area and attempted a flick header from a Russell Milton free-kick, but Freestone was able to gather comfortably.
Swansea's produced some high quality passing in the first half, using the width of the pitch particularly well, and Cheltenham found it less easy to keep possession.
Jonathan Coates blasted wide from 25 yards from a Roberts pass but with 38 minutes on the clock the Robins found themselves 2-0 down. Lee Jenkins got away on the right and when his cross came in, Coates got caught in a sandwich between Banks and Howarth six yards from goal.
Referee Trevor Parkes awarded a penalty amid fierce protests from the Cheltenham defenders, and centre-back Matthew Bound blasted it into the roof of the net.
Naylor latched onto a through ball from Mark Yates and shot high but the Robins went into the half-time break facing a stiff task to get back into the match.
Half time: Swansea City 2, Cheltenham Town 0
Cheltenham made another change at half-time with Keith Hill replacing Russell Milton for his first appearance in a competitive game following a summer move from Rochdale.
Hill had been on the pitch less than 10 minutes when he was booked for a late challenge on Swansea's French striker Mamady Sidibe. Victory followed him four minutes later for a foul on Gareth Phillips, who went close to scoring from the resulting free-kick with a shot that just cleared the crossbar.
Roberts was then yellow carded for going in late on Muggleton and Cheltenham used their final substitution in the 62nd minute when Martin Devaney replaced Victory to form a three man forward line.
Banks became the third Cheltenham player booked when he hauled down Sidibe and by the middle of the second half there was still no sign of a goal for the Robins.
In fact, Swansea continued to look the more likely to add to their tally with Michael Howard and Nick Cusack both shooting high from distance.
But all that changed in the 70th minute when the Robins suddenly got a goal back. Devaney was fouled on the right-hand corner of the penalty area, Lee Howells delivered the free-kick to the far post and Duff beat Freestone with a firm header.
Muggleton palmed a header from Cusack round the post and Coates shot high as Swansea attacked in the closing 10 minutes, but Devaney almost brought the Robins level with a sharp header from a Grayson cross that flew just wide.
It looked as though the home side were going to hang on but then another goal arrived 15 seconds from the end of normal time. Howarth took a throw-in and received the ball back from Duff before crossing for Yates to send a delicate header in off the post from 12 yards out.
