Artus out for up to six weeks

Posted on: Mon 06 Sep 2010

Frankie Artus will be sidelined for up to six weeks because of a crack on his fibula picked up in the 3-1 defeat to Barnet.

The midfielder, who scored his first goal of the season on Saturday, had to be withdrawn in the first half after picking up the injury and a closer inspection has revealed the extent of that injury.

"Frankie has had an x-ray and has also seen the consultant. There are no major concerns about the injury but he will be out for around six weeks," said Ian Weston.

"He'll  have another x-ray in a month to check that the healing process is taking place."

Ian also revealed that Martin Riley is now back in light training although the Stevenage match may come a little too soon for the defender.

Shaun Jeffers picked up a knock on his knee at the weekend but should return to training on Thursday and be in line to feature against Stevenage.
