Jeffers gets on for England

Posted on: Thu 02 Sep 2010

Cheltenham Town's on loan striker Shaun Jeffers made a substitute appearance for England Under-19s this evening (September 2).

The 18-year old Coventry City youngster went on as a 69th minute substitute for England in their international match against Slovakia at the Alexandra Stadium in Crewe.

By then England were already 1-0 up, Liverpool player Michael Ngoo having scored after 16 minutes.

Shortly after going on as a substitite Shaun was tripped by a defender 25 yards from goal and captain Jonjo Shelvey, also of Liverpool, scored with a free-kick.
