Cheltenham Town have reached an agreement with Coventry City to extend the loan of striker Shaun Jeffers.
The 18-year old, who is in the squad for tonight's England Under-19s match against Slovakia at the Alexandra Stadium in Crewe, has so far scored twice from one start and four substitute appearances for the Robins having signed an initial month's loan on the eve of the season.
As the player is Under 21 the two clubs can agree a loan arrangement until the January transfer window, although Coventry will have the option of a 24 hour recall clause.
Manager Mark Yates said: "I'm going to watch Shaun tonight for the England Under-19s and hopefully we can complete the loan extension tomorrow.
"Shaun has done really well for us since arriving on loan and Adie Boothroyd (Coventry City manager) has been pleased that he is playing in a competitive first team environment.
"Shaun will be back with us after tonight's match and will be in the squad for Saturday's game at Barnet."
Meanwhile, another one of the club's young players is set to join Cirencester Town of the Zamaretto League Premier Division on loan. Josh Emery made a one month loan switch last week and Mark Yates hopes to finalise another deal later on today. More details to follow.
