Posted on: Thu 19 Aug 2010

On Monday 23rd August, the FIFA Inspection Team, who are assessing the technical bids of the countries competing for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, arrive in England.

The inspectors have a packed schedule of visiting stadiums, host cities and receiving presentations.

To coincide with the inspection visit, England 2018 has created 'Back The Bid Week' which kicks off today with activity at football matches throughout the country.

On Tuesday 24th August, a national 'Wear Your Shirt to Work Day' will be staged to mark 100 days to go until FIFA announce which countries will be awarded the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Football fans across England are encouraged to show their love of football by wearing their favourite football shirts to work and demonstrate the commitment to the game that exists in this country.
