Gloucester City will begin their season at the Abbey Business Stadium tomorrow night (August 17) with a home match against Corby Town in BlueSquare North (7.45pm kick-off).
The Tigers signed a two year ground-sharing deal with Cheltenham Town over the summer and will play home first team matches at the Abbey Business Stadium while working towards a permanent return home to Gloucester.
For City home games the Stagecoach West Stand and a section of the Carlsberg Stand will be open to the public. Admission prices will be £12 for adults and £6 concessions with children under 10 admitted free.
As well as receiving a rental fee from City, Cheltenham Town will also retain all revenues from the club bars on City home matches. The ground-sharing agreement began with a pre-season friendly between the two clubs in July and the possibility of Cheltenham Town playing away to Gloucester City has now emerged. Cheltenham Town Reserves have received a bye in the first round of this season's Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup but will play away to either Mangotsfield United or Gloucester City in round two.
Gloucester began their season on Saturday with the long trip to play Workington in Cumbria, the match ending in a 2-1 defeat. Gloucester fixtures for the next few weeks at the Abbey Business Stadium are as follows:
Aug 17 Corby Town
Aug 21 Ilkeston Town
Aug 30 Redditch United
Sep 4 Hyde United
Sep 18 Guiseley
