Cheltenham Town were beaten 2-1 by Brentford and dropped out of the Carling Cup last night despite a spirited fightback in the second half.

Shaun Jeffers scored his first goal since arriving on loan from Coventry but the Robins couldn't quite do enough to grab the equaliser they needed.
