The Robins take on League One's Brentford in the first round of the Carling Cup this evening and if it proves to be anything like the last cup encounter between both clubs then we're in for a treat.

Cheltenham Town thrashed Martin Allen's Brentford 5-0 back in 2005 to book their place in the second round. JJ Melligan was the opening scorer on that evening but tonight's encounter should prove to be a much tighter affair.

Mark Yates was forced to make one change to the squad that started out on Saturday with Wesley Thomas rested following a knock picked up during the game against Gillingham. Shaun Jeffers replaces Thomas up front and Jake Lee is promoted to the bench.
