Previous meetings at Griffin Park
Cheltenham have a decent record at Brentford's Griffin Park ground in West London having won one and drawn one in two previous visits. Steven Gillespie and JJ Melligan notched last time around, in 2007, to condemn the Bees to relegation to League Two while Grant McCann - from the penalty spot - and Martin Devaney struck to earn their side a hard-fought 2-2 draw in an ill-tempered contest back in 2003.

This will be the second occasion the pair have met in the Carling Cup at this stage of the competition. Cheltenham won the previous encounter by some margin that night, defeating Martin Allen's side 5-0 at the Abbey Business Stadium courtesy of goals by Melligan, Gavin Caines, Jamie Victory and a brace by McCann.

Boss Andy Scott's Brentford were defeated 2-0 at Carlisle United at the weekend.
