The Robins did their bit for Sport Relief yesterday afternoon with a one mile keepy uppy down at the training ground and there was even time for some showboating from certain individuals!
The players challenged themselves to complete the Sport Relief Mile whilst keeping the ball up. The Robins, who worked as a relay team, were aiming to complete the five laps round the pitch and raise much needed awareness for Sport Relief.
Robins manager Mark Yates told www.ctfc.com: "Sports Relief is a fantastic way of raising much needed money for worthwhile causes here at home and abroad. It's important that this whole football club gets behind what Sports Relief is trying to achieve because it really is a fantastic charity.
"The lads will do everything they can to help Sport Relief and I think that is plain to see with the spirit shown in the keepy uppy mile we did this afternoon. Hopefully, as a Football Club, we can help to promote the Sport Relief mile and perhaps even help to boost donations."
All the money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world's poorest countries.
Money raised through Sport Relief may be spent helping children in Africa get into primary school or supporting an isolated older person in the UK to meet other people so they feel less lonely. But one thing's for sure - the money you raise will help to make the world of difference to people's lives.
There are hundreds of Sainsbury's Sport Relief Miles taking place across the country on Sunday 21st March 2010 and Cheltenham Town FC is encouraging everyone to get those running shoes on and join them to make this year's events bigger and better than previous years. Cheltenham Town Football Club rose to the challenge, but will you?
