Yates: We'll set the tone
Mark Yates speaks to the media ahead of the Burton Albion game tonight at the Abbey Business Stadium:
"Burton are a decent team and have been on a good run of late. It goes to show what a good run of form can do because they're safe and looking to go up. They've got a good manager and good players that I know plenty about. I know a lot about them and it will be a tough game but we're at home so we have to set the tone and we'll take positives from Saturday so we can get the right result.
"I don't think we have to change a great deal defensively because lately we have been superb. If you look at our goal tally then we have obviously struggled all season to score goals so we've been working on it in training a lot. If you can get quality into the box then you will get the chances.
"I'm hoping that both Julian (Alsop) and Ashley (Eastham) will be available for us.
"We are lacking goals. Justin (Richards) is our top goalscorer with eight so far this season and that's just not enough. I'm not blaming anybody because we haven't scored goals on a regular basis. We're doing what we can by working hard and we'll look at whether we can bring someone in to freshen it up but if we keep working hard and creating chances then we will score.
"We're at home so we need to give a positive performance off the back of a decent-enough performance on Saturday. We've just got to take one further step now and score the goals that we need.
"This is an important stage of the season now. It's important that we get some good points from the next few games. The lads have done really well because there have been some tough away games and they should be given credit for their performances. The home performance against Bournemouth was decent but the performance against Rochdale was probably not up to standard and we have to put that right against Burton."
