The tenth Mascot Grand National was run in soggy conditions on Sunday 5 October at Huntingdon racecourse.

Whaddney was amongst the leaders for the first of the six jumps along the furlong course, but race winner was Wacky Macky of Saffron Walden FC.

A mystery lion was leading up to the final jump but believed to be an intruder at the race.

He was ambushed by Whaddney's close friends, Lenny City gent of Bradford City and Captain Blade of Sheffield United. They had hidden under the rails amongst the crowd, lying in wait for any imposter mascots.
