Cheltenham Town manager Martin Allen has captured his second new signing this week with the arrival of defender Drissa Diallo from Milton Keynes Dons on a one month emergency loan.

Diallo is a 35-year old Mauritanian born defender, who can operate at either full-back or centre-back. He has been at Milton Keynes since the summer of 2006 having been signed by Martin Allen when he was manager of the club.

Prior to joining Milton Keynes Diallo served Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town, Burnley and Belgian club KV Mechelen. He will link up with the Cheltenham Town squad on their way to London tomorrow (Friday) and train with them on Friday afternoon.

Diallo was a regular in the Milton Keynes team that won promotion from Coca-Cola League Two last season and also reached the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final, although he missed both that Wembley match and the last few games of the season with a shoulder injury.

He becomes the second new signing since Martin Allen took over as Robins manager following the arrival of Scott Murray on loan from Bristol City on Monday.

"Drissa is a strong, competitive defender and will be a valuable addition for us," said Allen.

"He will go straight into our squad for our weekend visit to the Lion's Den of Millwall."
