Cheltenham Town will play Port Vale in the first round of the Midland Youth Cup at Whaddon Road on Wednesday night (September 3).

The match will kick off at 7pm and admission will be only £3 adults and £1 for under-16s.

Youth team manager John Brough has named a squad of 17 including wide player Marley Watkins, who has already made a Coca-Cola League appearance for the first team. Striker Theo Lewis, who scored in the pre-season friendly against Southampton at Whaddon Road, is now back in action after injury and is set to partner Jake Lee in attack.

The team will be captained by midfielder Josh Emery, another Scholarship player who has recently seen some involvement with the first team and been awarded a squad number.
