Downing: Another great game for us
Cheltenham Town manager Keith Downing interviewed before the Coca-Cola League One match against Leicester City:
"Shane Duff has an Achilles injury and hasn't trained but Jennison Myrie-Williams, Dave Bird and Dean Sinclair are fit and available again.
"We've got a fairly full squad to choose from. I was pleased with the reaction on Tuesday so obviously those players will stake a claim but we've also got people coming back from injury so there are more options available.
"The mood has been better since Tuesday's game. I was very angry on Monday but pleased with the response and although I'm not saying we've got it totally right, there has been a massive emphasis on what we do without the ball because the performance at Oldham was very unlike us. The players knew that and they've come back strongly. The training has increased in intensity and it's another great game for us on Saturday so we're looking forward to it.
"Leicester have had a good start but we could have predicted even before a ball was kicked that they would be one of the favourites. They have a very good squad of players and I have a lot of respect for Nigel Pearson as a coach. I will be a massive test for us but one that we are preparing for and will be ready for.
"Leicester have some good forward players. Matt Fryatt has good movement and Paul Dickov has played at the top level. Steve Howard is also a big striker who is also intelligent with his movement as well. They've got pace in wide areas and I think at this level, if you have a lively front four with a mixture of different strengths you will be towards the top of the table.
"We need to maintain our intensity of work off the ball, and that's what we did on Tuesday, but we also have to be better with the ball and get better quality into the front players.
"We need to get players in and we've got until Monday to make permanent signings. We're very hopeful. The chairman has been supportive but it's about getting the right people and the ones who want to come here."
