Cheltenham Town's youth team will begin their Midland Youth Cup campaign next Wednesday evening with a match at Whaddon Road.

Cheltenham will take on Port Vale in the first round with a 7pm kick-off. Admission will be the same as for reserve team games - only £3 adults and £1 Under-16s.

Meanwhile, youth team goalkeeper Joe Perry has been called into Wales Under-17 squad for a training camp this week.

Joe, who is a first year Scholar having previously been involved with both the Under-15 and Under-16 squads, is one of four goalkeepers invited to train in North Wales. The 24 man party will be reduced to 18 in readiness for the UEFA Under-17 qualifiers in September.
