Cheltenham Town held Championship Southampton to a 1-1 draw in their seventh pre-season friendly of the summer.
A fine 84th minute strike by first year scholar Theo Lewis (pictured right) earned the Robins a draw after the Saints took the lead nine minutes before the interval through Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Robins' boss Keith Downing handed starts to trialists Ryan Martin, on the right of midfield, Nicky Law, of Sheffield United, in central midfield and Gregory Duruz, the former Basle winger on the left wing.
Southampton meanwhile named a strong side that included Swedish international Michael Svensson, former Spurs man Chris Perry and Wright-Phillips - brother of Chelsea's Shaun.
The sweltering conditions led to a slow opening pace and it was Martin who had the first chance of note midway through the first half when Saints goalkeeper Kelvin Davis mis-judged Duruz's knock forward, allowing it to bounce over his head however the striker rolled the ball across the empty net from an acute angle.
Jerry Gill's last-ditch tackle prevented Lee Holmes converting David McGoldrick's cross from the right five minutes later.
A sweet Southampton move almost led to the opening goal 10 minutes before half time when Wright-Phillips clipped in a ball towards McGoldrick at the far post. The former Port Vale man cut it back but Adam Lallana blasted a volley wide.
The first goal, however, arrived three minutes later after some good work by Simon Gillett down the right. Jerry Gill had the chance to clear to safety but the ball found Lee Holmes at the far post. He dragged it back, McGoldrick back-heeled into the path of Wright-Phillips, who did the rest.
Ashley Vincent went close with a speculative effort three minutes before the break, while it took quarter of an hour of the second half for Trinidad and Tobago striker Stern John, one of the three half time subsitutes for Southampton, to get the first shot away of the second half.
Paul Connor, who replaced Ashley Vincent in the 59th minute, created the home side's best chance of the contest six minutes later with a darting run from midfield before finding Law, who had his first time shot saved.
Twenty minutes from time, a Ben Gill deflected strike narrowly missed the target, while Gallinagh had a header swatted away by Bialkowski from the subsequent corner. The passage of play ended with a firm Craig Armstrong shot parried to safety.
At the other end, Jason Euell should have done better from six yards after he was set up by Lallana form the right.
Cheltenham's pressure paid off six minutes from time, when substitute Lewis underlined his growing credentials with a fine individual strike to square the game.
Lindegaard centred from the right, and the 16-year-old first year scholar controlled it, spun and cooly placed the ball to the 'keeper's left.
