Trialists set to face Southampton
Sheffield United midfielder Nicky Law has been lined up to play for the Robins in tomorrow's (July 26) match against Southampton at Whaddon Road.
Law, who is the 20-year old son of former Chesterfield and Bradford City manager Nicky Law Senior, came through the youth ranks at Sheffield United to make a handful of appearances in the first team and has also been out on loan at Yeovil Town and Bradford City.
Former Margate left-sided player Ryan Martin, who previously played in the friendlies against Worcester City and AFC Telford United, has been invited back for another game and Swiss midfielder Grégory Duruz will also feature in his second match having appeared as a substitute against West Bromwich Albion in midweek.
Meanwhile, manager Keith Downing has reached an agreement with Tamworth FC of the BlueSquare North division for young goalkeeper Will Puddy to join them on loan at the start of the new season. Puddy trained with Tamworth today and is set to feature in their pre-season friendly against FC United of Manchester tomorrow afternoon.
