Zebroski Leaves Club

4 January 2013

Chris Zebroski has today left the club by mutual agreement.

Cheltenham Town Football Club have today reached an agreement with Chris Zebroski to cancel the player’s contract.

With the January transfer window now open, players now have the opportunity to move in or out of contract and following discussions with Chris and his representatives an amicable agreement has been reached.

Chris is therefore a free agent and is able to join another club with immediate effect.

“We’re parting on good terms and after a discussion with Chris it was agreed that a move was the best thing for all concerned,” said manager Mark Yates.

“I think we all accept that the move didn’t work out – somethimes these things happen in football – and we wish him all the very best for the future.

“With the transfer window now open we have the opportunity to freshen up the squad ready for the second half of the season and I will be looking to do that from next week.

“In the meantime, all our focus is on the Everton match on Monday night.”

FA Cup rules require players to be registered by Midday on the Friday before the weekend so the extension of Jake Taylor’s loan from Reading was completed this morning.
