Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates ahead of Cambridge United away:

On the back of a win we have to go to Cambridge and work extremely hard, like we have in 99 per cent of our games this season.



We know their strengths, but we think we have identified some areas in which we might be able to get at them.
We will have to be on our guard against some good players who have been used to winning.
It’s a tough place to go and they’ve had some good result of late, particularly at home.
If we compete and take our chances, which is the most vital thing, we’ll give anyone a game.
We have to make sure we stay with runners from corners, but I want to concentrate on praising the boys for scoring three goals and we could have easily had a few more.
It was pleasing to see my three central strikers contributing on the goal front in the last two games.
Terry Gornell is still on the transfer list, but it doesn’t really mean anything. I have had a couple of calls, but he remains our player until something happens differently.
I want Terry to succeed here and his workrate is always up there with the best. He has got his rewards for that now.
He keeps getting into the positions and hopefully he can get on a bit of a roll for us now.
I wasn’t desperate to circulate Terry’s name, but he said it may be for the best. Maybe Terry was a missing link in our hard work and effort and giving him the chance again is what the team needed.
Nothing is personal with players and I try to do things to improve the team all the time and we felt Terry’s lack of goals was a concern.
It’s about dealing with what you have and Terry, John Marquis and Byron Harrison all did well on Saturday. They can all score goals and they are starting to believe in themselves now.
Matt Taylor is looking at three or four weeks out at least. He has brilliant since he has been here, but it gives someone else a chance now.
Jack Deaman can come in, or Paul Black, but Matt will be missed.
We have to work on certain things, our defensive shape and our defending and Matt won’t be part of that for a few weeks. Everyone else apart from Asa Hall is fine.
Cambridge are a good, positive, goalscoring team so we have to make sure we carry on our work from Saturday. They have a lively front two, balance in midfield and two centre-halves who are a threat at set pieces. It’s going to be a tough game and we certainly won’t be taking them lightly.
