"We had a great opportunity to go to the races on Wednesday. Cheltenham Racecourse look after us and it is important that sometimes you have a bit of a bonding day but they all looked after themselves and it was nothing stupid. It was great to see them all out together but now it's back to work preparing for two tough games at home.

"Torquay had a great result in midweek beating Rochdale. Chris Hargreaves has gone in there and is trying to make them play but he also realises that it is about winning as well. They will be scrapping for their lives and we have to match that. We cannot just think that we're alright because we have to do something about our points tally and there is no better time to do that than at home in the next few games.

"I played against Chris (Hargreaves) a number of time. He was a whole-hearted, decent player that scored goals and a good pro so I imagine that is what he expects from his players. My concern is making sure we continue the decent work we have been doing over the last two away games and then Bury at home before that. We must make sure we produce the goods however we play, whatever system we play and whoever we play. We have had a few tough games recently and a few knocks but we must stand up, be counted and take pride in the shirt. If we do that like we have been recently then we can be hopeful of points.

"Their win over Rochdale has brought everybody a bit closer and of course it will have given them a lift but we cannot worry about that. We cannot worry about what we or other teams have done before because it is about what happens on the day, right attitude, a willingness to work for each other and that desire to beat your opponents."
