"The lads have had a couple of days where they've had to realise where we are and what we're trying to do and the last performance was not good enough. We always set standards and we've got to get back to the standards we have been setting over the last few months. Saturday was not good enough and we know that but we've got the chance to go down to Plymouth to put that right.

"I think we need to improve all over the pitch to be honest. Whatever team we play needs to go out with the right intentions. We were lacking in hard work and know-how for the first 45 minutes and that is disappointing. We tried to play a slightly different system (4-4-2) but it is a system everyone has grown up with and played for years and years. It didn't work and the main reason for that was a lack of hard work on and off the ball. Our passing options weren't there and our willingness to get the ball back wasn't good enough so it resulted in us being 2-0 down with too much to do in the second half.

"I'd like to say David Noble is firing on all cylinders and ready to go and he had a scan yesterday which showed no real problem but there's something in David's head that is stopping him from playing. He's feeling something and you have to respect that. He won't be available for the weekend but we'll hope he is available for the weekend after.

"There could be one or two changes. I don't think that anybody who played can be happy with what they produced against Accrington in the first half in particular. We haven't got the squad to make wholesale changes but one or two little adjustments will be in place.

"It should be an interesting game. Plymouth play decent football and they have beaten us twice at home this season so we've got to try and go down there and put that right. I saw them recently and they are a decent strong outfit with some good players but we've got to worry about ourselves and make sure we are on our game. We have to make sure that the hard work I thought we were missing in the first half against Accrington is there in abundance on Saturday. There were positives to take out of the second half but it is whole performances and results that matter and we got beaten. We have to start again and make sure we are right at it from the first whistle.

"Nothing will happen before the weekend I don't think (transfers). I could get one or two that are getting bandied about but I'm waiting to see what happens over the next few days."
