Taylor: We Work For Each Other

2 January 2014

Jason Taylor discusses this weekend's game and David Noble here on www.ctfc.com.

If Cheltenham Town are to be successful against Chesterfield this weekend then there is no doubt the midfield will need to deliver.

The likes of David Noble, Matt Richards and, of course, Jason Taylor have been in solid form over recent months and the Robins midfield has been at the heart of the club's upturn in form in Sky Bet League 2.

Jason's form in particular has been very good and he has come a long way from the start of the season when he was left frustrated on the substitutes bench. Now he is a key member of Mark Yates' side looking to climb the division and his presence could be telling in the game versus Chesterfield at the weekend.

The Robins have no reason to fear the Spireites this weekend but Jason believes he and his team-mates will need to be at their best come 3pm on Saturday.

"I think the lads are looking forward to this one," he said.

"They are at the top of the league at the minute and it will be a challenge but with the way we have been playing recently I think we will be confident going into the game to pick up the win. Chesterfield like to get the ball down and play and they have some creative players. It will be a tough test, don't get me wrong, but we just need another game to get back on track."

One of the players, along with Jason, who will be key this weekend will be David Noble.

Both Noble and Taylor were former team-mates at Rotherham United and it is clear to see they have complimented each other well over the last few months.

David Noble's loan deal from the Millers expires after this weekend's game and Jason believes it is important for the Robins to extend that loan deal if possible.

"He has been massive for us at the minute," Jason explained.

"The way he plays is different to all the central midfielders we have got. He gets us playing, he gets us ticking and he is a good lad to have around in the dressing room. Hopefully it will get extended until the end of the season.

"In a way I do think he has helped my form," he added.

"I think we have got a decent understanding because we have played together before and we compliment each other well. He has helped me but the whole team has really. We all play for each other and we're all out there together."

Jason is 6/1 to score at any point withing the 90 minutes this weekend. Sign up to Sky Bet today using www.skybet.com/cheltenham and you can pick up a FREE matched bet up to £30 whilst earning money for the Robins.
