2-1 Robins Win? 17/2

28 February 2014

The best odds available on Sky Bet for this weekend's game at home to Bury.

Bury are the visitors this week as the Robins look to put an end to their recent run of form.

Bury have been in superb form over recent weeks and find themselves close to the top of the form table. New manager David Flitcroft has done wonders since arriving at Gigg Lane and the Shakers will have ambitious hopes of a late surge into the play-offs this season.

Cheltenham Town however will be looking to bounce back immediately following a disastrous defeat at home to league leaders Chesterfield on Tuesday night but much will need to improve if they are going to put Bury back in their place.

At present Bury are 9/5 to win this fixture whilst Cheltenham Town have odds of 13/10 to run out victors this weekend. A draw would fetch you reasonable odds of 11/5.

The last meeting between both clubs however was back in August and Bury ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at Gigg Lane despite an early own goal from Andrew Procter handing an advantage to the Robins. That scoreline, but in Cheltenham's favour is currently worth 50/1 on Sky Bet. It is however unlikely considering recent form and a tight scoreline would perhaps offer a greater chance of picking up a winning bet this weekend. A 2-1 win for the Robins (17/2) or a 1-1 draw (5/1) are much safer bets.

Both teams will of course fancy themselves to score in this fixture and both teams have the personnel to do so too. Terry Gornell has been threatening a goal in recent games and can be valued at 13/2 to grab the opening goal but another wise bet may be to have Bury's on loan midfielder Danny Mayor to score during the 90 minutes and that is currently worth 9/2. If you fancy an outside shout however then why not put a 14/1 bet on Craig Braham-Barrett to score at any point during the 90 minutes?

There are some great odds right now on Sky Bet but we have picked out a few more which could represent great value ahead of the game this weekend:

- Cheltenham Town to be drawing at half time but winning at full time? 9/2
- The Robins to win either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1? 9/4
- Mitch Brundle to score his first professional goal at any stage within the 90 minutes? 14/1

If, however, you are feeling completely mad right now and fancy an ambitious bet then why not try a Cheltenham Town 2-0 win with Ashley Vincent to score first? That is currently worth 55/1 on Sky Bet. If you do take on our challenge, and if you are successful, then send proof of your winning bet to the media department (james.brown@ctfc.com) and you could win 2 match tickets to a future Cheltenham Town home fixture. We will need proof of the winning bet AND you must of course be a customer of Sky Bet having used the URL: www.skybet.com/cheltenham.
