2/1 For A Robins Victory

20 February 2014

The best odds from Sky Bet for this weekend's game away at Newport County.

Football is back this weekend and Sky Bet are pushing out some intriguing odds ahead of the Newport v. Robins clash.

Cheltenham Town's home match v. Wycombe was postponed last weekend due to a waterlogged pitch forcing Robins supporters into an afternoon of window shopping or household chores but there is a real confidence that there will be Sky Bet League 2 action at Rodney Parade despite recent concerns over the playing surface.

Newport themselves produced a fine victory over Oxford United in midweek and are understandably the favourites in this fixture with 13/10 odds. Cheltenham Town however are without a win in 2014 and 2/1 odds on a Robins win reflects that unfortunate statistic.

Cheltenham face a tough task certainly but the presence of fit again striker Chris Zebroski will also challenge the defence of his former club. For Chris Zebroski to score first you are looking at odds of 11/2. If you believe the Robins can draw first blood however then Terry Gornell represents good value at 7/1 to score first. Sido Jombati looks likely to be recalled back into the starting XI with the unfortunate injury of Troy Brown and you can currently fetch ambitious odds of 7/1 to score at any point in the afternoon.

Talk is fine but the fact is Cheltenham Town need to get themselves back on the winning trail and victory away at Rodney Parade would certainly boost confidence. A tight and frantic 1-0 Robins win fetches you odds of 15/2 but if you fancy Mark Yates' men pulling one out of the bag and surprising a few then a scoreline of 3-1 gives you a 25/1 bet. A draw however certainly wouldn't be a bad result for Cheltenham however and a 0-0 draw mirroring this season's earlier fixture here at the Abbey Business Stadium offers odds of 9/1.

There are some great odds right now on Sky Bet but we have picked out a few more which could represent great value ahead of the game this weekend:

- Cheltenham Town to be drawing at half time but winning at full time? 6/1
- The Robins to win either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1? 11/4
- Sam Deering to score his first Cheltenham Town goal at any stage within the 90 minutes? 9/2

If you're feeling lucky however then why not try our bet of the weekend? Former Robin Chris Zebroski to score first but Cheltenham Town to pull it back and win 2-1 is currently available at 85/1 on Sky Bet.

If you do take on our challenge, and if you are successful, then send proof of your winning bet to the media department (james.brown@ctfc.com) and you could win 2 match tickets to a future Cheltenham Town home fixture. We will need proof of the winning bet AND you must of course be a customer of Sky Bet having used the URL: www.skybet.com/cheltenham.
