Lee, 27, is a right back who found himself out of contract at Kidderminster Harriers at the end of the 2013-14 season and, despite being offered a new deal at Aggborough, he has opted to link up with Mark Yates and the Robins. 178, 51

The tough tackling right back met with Mark Yates and club officials earlier today at the training ground to put pen to paper and Lee admitted that he was delighted with his step into the Football League.

"It's exciting and I can't wait to get going," said Lee.

"When I made my mind up about leaving Kidderminster it was all about finding the right club and the right manager in the right league. I feel like I have done that.

"I don't know Mark that well but what I do know is that he is a winner and he wants to achieve something and get out of this league which is what I want to do. I've spoken to Mark a few times over the years about coming here and for one reason or the other it hasn't happened but it's the right time now."

A former Walsall trainee, Lee began to make a name for himself with AFC Telford after signing for the club in 2006 but it wasn't until his transfer to Kidderminster Harriers that he began to show talent that has secured him as one of the best defenders in non-league.

He has made 178 appearances for the Aggborough outfit and made 51 appearances for the Harriers in the 2013-14 season alone. He is a tough tackling and passionate defender with an attacking intent that will see him occupy the wing when on the attack for his club.

Whaddon Road's latest defender admitted to us that he would miss Kidderminster Harriers but he felt it was right for him to make the step up into the Football League with the Robins.

"I have been loyal to them (Kidderminster) but they have been very good," he said.

"It is the right time, I needed to make the step up and I know they will do well. More importantly it had to be the right club for me and I feel Cheltenham Town is the right club."
